Fave Type of Crafting?
I love making cards. I love to color with Pencils, markers and distress inks

I live in Australia on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

I am a survivor of breast cancer having had a double mastectomy. Four months ago I had my kidney removed for cancer and am still undergoing treatment.

My outlet is my craft and my strong faith. I love making new friends.

I have a blog where I love to show my cards. It is  here.

My main medium for coloring is distress re-inkers. I also love to use Prismacolor pencils with odorless white spirits and find then a lot easier to use than distress ink.

Soon I will find it easier to get the results I am wanting with these lessons from Angie......even if it takes the whole year I will have fun on the journey.

I have now joined the Prismacolor Pencils group as well. I am hoping to learn a lot of new things.

Hi Maz -

I read your new post today over in the Distress Inks groups and I am writing to wish you well and HOPE very much your doctors will have some way help you continue to fight this batter!!   I am so very sad and sorry to hear that your cancer has spread and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!  Cancer is such a scary illness and I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now!

I do, however, have many freinds and family who have also been struck by cancer and I know how awful this illness can be.  I also HOPE that each day will get us one day closer to find a way to cure cancer !  It's such a dreadful illness and I'll seen so many fight your battle, including my own Mom and one of my very best freinds who are both Breast Cancer Survivors.  I continue to hope and pray they will remain cancer-free and know that scare will always be there.    It's just all seems so unfair and very heartbreaking.

Please know I will pray for a treatment and cure for you and all those who have to deal with this illness!  My heart goes out to you!

 Hugs,

 Lis

NOTE:    Although having Fibro can not even begin to compare to what you are dealing with, I can say that for me, crafts came into my life after I was diagnosed and to have Fibromyalgia and Disc Disease and I do love crafts and can relate in that way to it being an outlet for you.

You are doing awesome with yoru distress inks and I've found myself totally behind.   I need to get back and track and hopefully can learn to use them as well as you have!

Bless you heart!!

I  -- among the best I have seen. I just went to your blog. Your Tilda coloring is just gorgeous. Your health problems sound very scary -- please keep your fans posted!

Thanks Maz -- I'm glad you agree. I've found it makes a huge difference and blends so much more easily.

OH no!  I just tried my first distress ink image...   not easy!  My paper isn't right and it looks really strange.    I think the paper needs to be smooth!!!

Hi Maz, My email is s.sands@att.net   I've been looking at all of the photos that have been imported, everyone is doing very well.  I'm still waiting for supplies.  We have a year to finish these classes, don/t we?

I'm learning a lot from the videos.  Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been working ion organizing my craft room, what a mess.  I ordered so many unmounted stamps, that now I have to mount and file all of them,  Thanks again.  Sarah

Hi Maz, I love your work!  I'm just beginning in this stamp stuff.  I've been a quilter for years and need something different.  I can't believe how long it has taken me to orainize all of this stuff.  All the paints and stamps etc.  I've been working on that for weeks.

What is the container you use for your reinkers?  That is so clever.  How wide is it?  Thanks for any information you can give me.

I haven't started this project yet I'm waiting to get the pen and more of the distress inks and reinkers.
Sarah
