My loving husband Bruce and I live in Sedalia, Colorado. We have 3 grown children with growing families of their own and 6 beautiful grandchildren. I love art and crafts of many kinds. I've been scrapbooking since 1991 but I still have some very old scrapbooks that I made as a teen. I've always been very creative and artistic in drawing, oil, acrylic & water color painting, sewing and needle craft. I started making cards in 2004 and truly fell in love with this hobby. I enjoy all crafts but scrapbooking and cardmaking is truly my passion. I enjoy being able to share my gift with friends and family by sending them my cards and scrapbooks. Hi Cathy, Thank you for offering to help me get going on the fussy cutting. I have 2 more lessons to finish up at Jessica Sprague. I'm hoping those lessons will help clear up some of my questions. I get the print and cut idea, I think.....but to actually cut out something we have colored still remains a mystery. I was also wondering if most people cut out the stamped image first and then color? I would hate to color ( sometimes I spend 2 hours on one image ) only to have it cut out wrong. Do you take a picture of your image, and then just save as a jpg? Do you then resize it? I tried bringing one of my pictures into Silhouette and it was way too big to even look at. These are the kind of things that just aren't making sense to me.

Thank you so much for your help!
Janet

Thank you, Cathy  for your great explanation and help.   I am sure as I finish up the  Jessica  Sprague classes thing will make more sense.   I am getting ahead of myself.   I really want to do the cutting out of the colored images, as I can see you do a lot of that.  That is the main reason I wanted the Cameo.   I sure hope the classes explain how to do that.   Thanks again for your help.

Thank you so much, Cathy Lee.  You color very well yourself!  I have been watching your slide show and there are some beautiful cards in your gallery.  I love your Tildas and that fabulous Halloween house!

Cathy Lee thank you so much for your sweet comment on my coloring of skin and hair.  I agree with you 100% that its going to take tons of practice for me to get this technique down.  But all in all I think we are doing pretty darn good for the first attempts.  Hugs, Fran
