Share your recipes or cooking tips here with us all!  As you add your recipes I will start a library of recipes divided into groups so they are easy to access.

Also add your fun recipe inspired projects...recipe cards, cake decorations, scrapbook pages with recipes, etc.  I want to see them all!

I will be working on a vintage recipe box and cards to share very soon as well!

Hi everyone,

Looks like another love of mine is open to discussion.

My dream would be to cook for a people and experiment with food.  Luckily the family enjoy the meals I've made over the years.

Here's a dressing I always have in the cupboard through out the year.  It goes well with salads, steam veg, beef, steak, roast chicken pork, you get my drift.

Now I don't do measurements cause I tell everyone that it's to your taste buds whether you like it sweeter or tart.  I'll still give the base measurements and you can go from there.  This does keep in the cupboard or fridge well, just use a clean spoon to keep the germs from contaminating it.  Hasn't happened yet.

Bush honey balsamic dressing.

3/4cup good quality balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup bush honey (regular honey is fine) 

11/2 Tbsp wholegrain mustard

salt n' pepper to taste

Shake and serve.

NB IF you fine it's still too tart just add more honey or too sweet add balsamic

Tequilla Berry Salad:

1 pkg of Dole Salad Romaine lettuce or lettuce of choice

1/2 package of shredded parmesean cheese

1/2 head of cauliflower chopped fine

Small pkg of bacon bits ( prefer Hormel that is softer to chew)

Dressing to add right before serving:

1 1/2 cup Mayo  (Cannot substitute Miracle Whip)

1/2 cup Buttermilk

1/2 sugar

Blend well with mixer prior and then pour over salad and mix.  Serve.

Parmesan Wings

(Not your same ol football snacks!)  :-)




10-12 raw chicken wings

Parmesan Cheese (The bottled stuff is fine)


Parsley Flakes

Salt & Pepper


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Add Parmesan cheese in a bowl... take chicken wings and toss in cheese...coat generously.  Lay on cookie sheet.  Sprinkle with parsley flakes.  Add a dab of butter on top of each wing.  Add salt and pepper to-taste. 


Bake at 350 until desired goldenness.  (Is that a word??? LOL)
