Spoiler ALERT! If you haven't started the book yet then don't look below LOL! This is a place to discuss the book, talk about what you've read & tell us what you are loving & not-so-loving!
I just love Aunt Julia, and the sausage incident made me shoot coffee out of my nose. Stash? OMG I don't even know where to go with that one. Robert is a wicked bad toad!
The sausage scene is the one that made me laugh so hard I cried. And I had to keep quiet because hubby was sleeping. OMG, it was so hard to be quiet! And it was also hard to read through the tears, especially when each new sentence made me laugh even harder!
Today I was reading a bit at a tea shop, and I laughed out loud there. I looked up and saw several people glancing at me and smiling. If they only knew...
I LOVE this book! :^)
I so agree! All I can say is "Greens for Clean Secretions Salad" OMG this chapter is killing me!
I laughed a lot too when I read it....my family just looks at me & shakes their head cuz they are used to me laughing at books or my computer LOL! Her writing is so relevant...I could picture myself being there & listening in ;)
You had me at "I left my wedding dress hanging in a tree somewhere in North Dakota." Then came Aunt Lydia and then liking big sausages! What a hoot! DH is wondering what makes me laugh so much. Thanks for the great choice, Suzanne.
Have you gotten to the cherry pie and bible throwing scene? OMG I was dying!
Hilarious!!!! I'd say Deidre got what she deserved!
Finished late last night. Loved it[. Laughed, cried, warm and fuzzy. Need some of that chocolate! LOL
Glad you enjoyed it--I thought it was excellent for her very first book :) Her others are good too if you need another read LOL! I just got her newest one!
I probably wouldn't have read this book if I hadn't of stumbled on this group, but I have to tell you, its probably one of the best books I have ever read.
Chapter four, about wet my pants laughing. Such a good read! I also agree with Laurie..I would of totally overlooked this book. So I am so happy that you chose it Suzanne. I too loved it and really hated to finish it. This is now in my top ten reads!
I am really enjoying this book -- have so much work to do, but I can't stop reading!
