I read pretty much anything James Patterson writes except the ones about the winged children.  The new book is good!!  You need to get it!

I even loved the ones about the winged children.

Lisa is that where they are captive from a scientist and rescued by the other ones that live in caves?

I don't remember the caves part, but, like I said, I never got into them at all.  They are titled Maximum Ride and something similar.

Give me the crime and drama any time.

Have you read any John Sandford?  I really enjoy his books as well.  I think he has a writing style similar to Patterson's.

No but I will start looking for him I need something different.
I'm with you ladies--give me a good James Patterson book and I'm all set.  Love crime and drama. Have to catch up with the new ones though, I've fallen behind. Sad thing is I have the books just haven't read them yet. UGH!! Need to find the time. Hoping once school starts back I can get some things done that I want to do. Like reading and stamping, etc.
My fave books I read this year were The Help, Water for Elephants, One Day, and Saving CeeCee Honeycutt
Just finished another good book today.  It is called The Silver Boat:  A Novel and was written by Luanne Rice.  If you haven't read Unbroken by Laura Hillerbrand, I highly recommend it.  It too was an eye-opener and is a true story.  It is unbelievable than anyone could have survived all he did.  If you like Christian Romance, and I do, I highly recommend anything written by Karen Kingsbury.  She is awesome and a lot of her books are series and they are some of the best I have ever read.  :-)  I am presently reading the Jaycee Dugard book, A Stolen Life.  I can only read a little at a time here as her story is really heartbreaking.
I just finished a book called The last Letter from your Lover by Jojo Moyes.  Interesting story line.  If you want to read a sappy true love story, this was a good one.  Gave me a happy good feeling for the rest of the day!

still can't get hold of the Lisa See book so started Swimsuit by James Patterson last night- am halfway through and loving it- edge of the seat stuff.

x

Sharon, it took me a while to "get into" the book too, but then it grabbed me.  But I'm not sure how I feel about the ending yet.  Won't say anymore until everyone has finished the book,.  :-)

OK just finished another book and it was very good.  Saving CeeCee Hunnicut.  I had it on my Kindle for a while, but finally read it 2 days.  OK so I am a crazy person I will admit.  Stayed up until around 3 AM and finished.  LOL  Already started another one.
